Some 750 Dar-ol-Quran Centers Active in Iran’s Schools

Speaking at a press conference in Mashhad, northeast Iran, Mohammad Reza Mosayyebzadeh, the ministry’s Quran and Etrat deputy, said there are plans to launch 100 new centers in the coming school year (starts in September).

He noted, however, that the ministry’s top priority is enhancing the quality of the programs offered by the existing ones, IRNA reported.

Elsewhere, he referred to upcoming national Quran competition for school students and said 1300 students will take part in the Quranic event.

The holy city of Mashhad will host the contest, he noted.

Mosayyebzadeh went on to say that the contest for girls will be held on July 3-6 while the one for boys is slated for July 8-11.

He was in Mashhad to launch the 3rd edition of a national Quran competition for teachers and Education Ministry personnel on Monday.
