The sovereignty of the spirit of religious education on all textbooks

Following the publication of an article in the Fars news agency on 31 May 2017 entitled Reducing the hours of religious classes and the Curan in schools / a limited time to answer religious questions the Organization of research and planning of the ministry of education is based on:

1. The planning of the framework and principles of education in all areas of learning based on teachings and religious criteria (Islamic education versus secular education)

2- the planning and utilization of the objectives and plans of all areas of education and training, in harmony with religious education.

3- the sovereignty of religious education on all textbooks to strengthen and stabilize religious goals.

4. to pay particular and practical attention to religious education: (the dimensions of religious education include belief, decisions and morals, reinforced in books of Persian language, arts, social studies, history etc.)

Religious teachings are doctrines complete and interconnected with concepts in comprehensive correlation and the result of this education among people is unity of thought with coherent concepts.

Consequently, physical education is one of the axes of the educational system and, on the other hand, it is specially considered in religious lessons. In order to raise awareness of the question of reducing the time of the religious lesson, it is important to recognize that an important feature of the new curriculum is to bring attention to the overall development of human beings in all fields of education, Education, including moral, economic, professional, political, social, scientific, technological, physical, health, artistic and cognitive education. This has resulted in new titles in the curriculum and the placement of these lessons in the curriculum, and given the limited capacity of formal teaching time of 351 hours per week. The religious lesson of this reduction is only a sharing of time in all the education of the twelve years.

In the end it is also necessary to say that the approach to the teaching of the Arabic language has been modified to include the sacred texts of religion, especially the holy Curan, and the title of the Arabic lesson is changed to Arabic language of the Coran. This change is one of the most important goals of the religious education, namely the holy Curan and the ability to communicate with and use it directly. In the new curriculum for the teaching of Arabic language, this is not going to be a communication approach, but an integral part of understanding the Quran, prayers and traditions.
