Speaker urges Muslim leaders’ joint efforts to show reality of Islam

“The time is now ripe for the leaders of the Muslim countries to come into terms with each other to show the realities of Islam …,” Larijani said in a meeting with his Malaysian counterpart Pandikar Amin Haji Mulia in Tehran on Wednesday, FNA reported.
Elsewhere, the Iranian parliament speaker pointed to the ongoing Iran-Group 5+1 (the US, Russia, China, France and Britain plus Germany) talks, and said, “Iranian Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei’s religious decree on the prohibition of nuclear weapons which is above state laws leaves no place for the West’s concerns about Tehran’s nuclear drive. “
Larijani, meantime, described the level of Iran-Malaysia relations as satisfactory, and said, “The two big Muslim countries (Iran and Malaysia) with their good record of dynamic relations have always taken positive steps for strengthening mutual cooperation and positive interactions.”
The Malaysian parliament speaker, for his part, called the Iranian nation as a real friend of the Malaysian nation, and said, “Malaysia pays special heed to the expansion of ties with Iran in different political, parliamentary, economic, trade and cultural fields and is willing to further deepen these relations.”
In relevant remarks last month, Larijani called for the vigilance of the Islamic Ummah against enemies’ plots, and said unity of the Muslim states will prevent Israel from achieving its mischievous goals in the region.
“The US and the Zionist regime take advantage from the minor differences among the Muslim states; hence the plots of the enemies of Islam should be foiled through constant consultations among senior officials of the Muslim states,” Larijani said in a meeting with his Kuwaiti counterpart Marzooq Al Ghanim in Istanbul.
