Story-telling: a Good Teaching Strategy for Conveying Culture

Aliasqar Fani, Minister of Education attended the ceremony and delivered a speech, reported by Ministry of Education PR and Information Center.

In his speech the minister said, 'the first benefit of the story-telling strategy is developing hearing skill in children and the adolescent. This helps them to reflect on what they hear and try to find reasons. So they will be able to develop three skills of well hearing, well thinking and reasoning, and well judging.'

He added, 'story-telling is an indirect method to convey values, norms, dos and don'ts, habits, and customs. It can reduce the generation gap. It can also promote the culture of book-reading.'

It is worth mentioning that the winners of the festival were appreciated in the presence of the Minister of Education at the ceremony.
