The head of the Center for International Affairs and Schools Abroad, said that from the end of July, students from all schools abroad will join the Shad Network. adding that the infrastructure for this purpose has been set.
Gholamreza Karimi told reporters that the schools for next school year will begin in some countries in September, including the UAE and other Arab countries others will open in mid-September. “Currently we don’t know what will happen to the education in future, maybe it will be held online or partly-online;” he added.
“Three scenarios are predicated now: yellow, white and red; red means schools total closure, yellow means students will attend schools every other day, and white means normal school presence.”
Karimi said that the white scenario is very unlikely due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the world. “We are focused on yellow and red scenarios and teachers will be organized so that some schools could begin their new year in September and some others in mid-July.”
He noted that scenarios inside Iran for education in the context of the Corona outbreak are set to prevail in all countries of the world; adding that the yellow and red scenarios; are more likely. Therefore, it is supposed that the education will be provided online.
The director of the Center for International Affairs and Schools Abroad noted the necessary infrastructure for online education, saying that it has been provided for schools abroad.
Referring to the summer holiday for students, he stressed that since the beginning of July, students' summer time activities has been discussed and activities including reading, art works and other activities were predicted.
“If schools are allowed to reopen in some countries, various classes will be held while observing the health protocols. 14,100 students are currently enrolled in the Sanad system, indicating the presence of students in schools abroad.”
Karimi added: “we are trying to prepare the situation so all people from around the globe could join Shaad network and enjoy the education.”
About the tuition fees for schools abroad, the head of the Center for International Affairs and Schools Abroad stressed that there are several types of schools, one is public schools that follow their own tuition model and are set each year.
He noted that the increase in school fees varies from country to country and depends on different features.
