Students' talents are above education

At the closing ceremony of the 8th Student Camp for the Student Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran, a number of parliamentarians, including Ali Motahari, vice chairman of the parliament, and Alireza Kateb, a member of the parliamentary chamber, were guests of the ceremony.

Ali Motahari said: "Many thanks to the officials of the Ministry of Education and the Student Organization who are providing such programs and are working to educate and train students' skills and talents. The most important part of education system is not just education and training, but rather the flourishing  of students' talents. Students must learn life skills and there are no differences between male and female students. It is an honor for the Islamic Republic, which has provided equal opportunities for the development of girls and boys, and does not discriminate between them.”

He added: "Some are promoting that in the Islamic Republic of Iran, women can not prosper, they should see sporting successes of our girls in the Asian Games, and programs such as this camp are evidence of rejection of this claim."

Our system believes that a woman should be a precious person and not seen as an object. The Islamic model is that a woman is a person and not an object, her talents will flourish, can become a physician, engineer, and ... and contribute to the development of society, and be present in all social interactions and in all fields, with maintaining her value and respect."
