Surah Yasin Main Focus of World Quran Hour

Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation chief executive officer, Marhaini Yusoff, said as such, included in the program for the World #QuranHour will be the Yasin Bucket Challenge (YBC).

"YBC acts as an invitation for the public to recite and memorize Surah Yasin. They can either read the Quran or its translation.

"For the sake of the dakwah mission, as a start, we hope more people will share their videos reciting the surah on Facebook live or share their videos on other social media platform with the World #QuranHour hashtag.

"The program invites us to uplift Surah Yasin to another level, so that we can understand the surah and change our mindset so that the value in the surah would be embedded in our character,” she said.

Marhaini also hoped the values in the Surah such as love, care for others, empathy and maintaining relationships will be a collective commitment to produce a nation filled with compassionate individuals.

"We want this program to have an impact and influence on world to join this movement.

Hopefully YBC would be a kickstart to a something bigger,” she added.
