During the meeting, the envoy commented on a plan for development of provincial collaboration between Hamedan and Sverdlovsk in economic, industrial and academic fields.
Sverdlovsk with a population of 4,320,000 is located in Russian Ural Region and is considered as one of the industrial zones of the country.
According to Iran Embassy's Media Division in Moscow, Governor General of Sverdlovsk, Yevgeny Kuyvashev has said that the province is ready for cooperation in the fields of oil and gas equipment, building wagon and rail fragments, steel industry and supplying medical instruments.
He also called on Iranian industrialists and miners to take part in the International industrial exhibition 'INNOPROM-2015' held in Yekaterinburg each year.
The Iranian envoy also referred to Hamedan province's capacities for boosting cooperation with Sverdlovsk, stressing the need for promoting ties between the Iranian and Russian chambers of commerce.
Meanwhile, in a meeting with Ural Federal University's officials, Sanaei highlighted the potentials of Avicenna University in Hamedan and called for academic collaboration in the field of Persian language teaching.
