Director of Tabriz Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Farzin Haqparast said that the anniversary of the historical meeting of Shams Tabrizi and Molana Jalaledin Mohammad Rumi, also a prominent Iranian mystic poet, named as World Shams Tabrizi Day will be observed in Tabriz on November 30.
Referring to significance of holding such seminars, he said that introducing the lofty status of great personalities such as Shams Tabrizi in his hometown will help revitalize historical identity and defending it by the public opinion.
He hoped that the commemoration ceremony will help further introduce the status of the world-known Iranian mystic poets.
The upcoming event will be held in cooperation with Tabriz Governorate, Azarbaijan Culture, Literature and Arts Foundation, provincial Culture and Islamic Guidance Department and cultural and literary establishments, Haqparast said.
