He added, 'especially in NGOs, teachers are sometimes abused or incompetent persons are recruited. This has to be regulated.'
He pointed to similar bodies in medicine, engineering, law, nursing, etc. and suggested that since teachers are socially trusted inasmuch as families entrust them with their children, they are competent enough to take on their own professional evaluation and monitoring through a professional regulating organization.
