Tehran, Berlin to Boost Educational Cooperation

Head of Iran’s Technical and Vocational Training Organization (ITVTO) Soleiman Pakseresht and German state secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research Georg Schütte signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday in Tehran to boost cooperation in vocational training.

According to reports, the document focuses on advisory services in the realm of technical and vocational training. Also, Germany will help Iran to establish modern training in this sector based on mainstream curriculums.

The document was signed on the sideline of a two-day workshop co-organized by the German body which kicked off today in Tehran.

German Ambassador to Iran Michael Klor-Berchtold was also present in the meeting.

Iran and Germany enjoy close cultural and economic relations and in related front earlier on October 1, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani told his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier that Iran-Germany cooperation will contribute to peaceful resolution of global challenges.

Rouhani made the remarks in a congratulatory message felicitating Steinmeier on "The Day of German Unity".

The Iranian top executive extended greetings on the National Day of Germany known as "The Day of German Unity".

Rouhani stressed in his message that the long-standing relations between the two countries lay the ground for further development of relations and cooperation in all bilateral, regional and international fields.
