Member of executive and scientific committee of the congress Fariba Seiqali said that the congress aims to consider one of the main challenges of blood transfusion, which is the accuracy in consumption of blood and its components.
She said that Blood Transfusion Medicine Institute (BTMI) played important role in eastern Mediterranean region, adding that Iran since 2013 had educational role for 22 countries in collaboration with World Health Organization.
She added that 16 countries including Germany, the Netherlands, France, Britain, Singapore and Switzerland as well as several east Mediterranean states are to attend the congress.
Ms. Seiqali said that international workshop to encourage voluntary blood donors will be held on December 18-19.
