Tehran mosques to commemorate Hajj victims

Following the death of more than 130 Iranian pilgrims in Mina stampede on Thursday, special commemorations will be held in mosques of Tehran Province.

According to the center, the ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 26, in all mosques of Tehran Province at night and after prayers.

The Head of the Center of Supervision on Mosques Affairs Mohammad Javad Haaj Ali Akbari, while extending condolences to the families of the victims, condemned Saudi Arabia for negligence and underlined the country was responsible to take the necessary preparatory measures to safeguard the lives of the pilgrims.

The tragic incident of Mina changed the Muslims Eid al-Adha to mourning, he said, adding that a commemoration for the innocent pilgrims, especially Iranian pilgrims, will be held on Saturday
