Tehran, Pretoria underscore educational, academic cooperation

African faculty member and Shahrouz Falahat Pishe negotiated on signing MoUs between academic departments and holding expert seminars by universities of Iran and South Africa.

The two sides discussed inviting Iranian professors to give speeches or hold political science expert courses on topics related to the East and to get professors and students familiar with Iran.

Referring to Iran as a special case to be considered by students studying in political science field, Falahat Pishe said that presenting a false image of Iran especially by western media is regarded as a black washing factor.

On Iranian side's valuable capabilities in academic fields, Iranian attaché expressed readiness of Iranian academic and scientific system to exchange professors and students and answer political science students' questions.

According to Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Sandy Africa also welcomed signing MoUs between the two countries saying that some big strides are essential to be taken before signing the MoU.

Regarding the aforementioned steps, Africa said that some professors and students can be encouraged to be in contact with Iranian cultural attaché office.
