Tehran University's Kish branch to work with University of Sydney

The cooperation will take place based on an agreement reached here in this Persian Gulf island on Saturday during a meeting among the visiting Manager of International Affairs and Marketing Department of Sydney University Michelle Carlin and his colleague Kaveh Ghezel with the Kish International Campus offcial Mohammad Reza Saeed Abadi on Friday.

Saeed Abadi said that Kish International Campus affiliated to University of Tehran is among the top universities in terms of quality and educational level both in the region.

Carlin said that Sydney University is one of the most prestigious universities in the world which was launched in 1850 with 16 colleges and schools.

He added that Sydney University ranks 46th in the world and attracts the biggest part of educational budget from the government.

He reiterated that both universities will cooperate in holding joint academic courses in master's degree, exchanging students, holding short-term Persian language courses in Sydney University and organizing short-term expert and professional courses in banking, insurance, executive management fields in collaboration with the experts of the related industry.

He added that both sides are willing to sign an MoU in these areas of cooperation.

Australian Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment Steven Ciobo too headed a 30-member delegation to Iran on September 27 to develop ties.
