Tenth Session of the Iranian National Committee for Higher Education

The Meeting concluded that:

1. The Iranian National Commission for UNESCO and the Permanent Delegation of the IR of Iran to UNESCO are working together to enable the accession of the IR of Iran to the Asia-Pacific Regional Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education;
2. In order to raise the quality of the reports produced by the task groups for preparing the national education 2030 document, it was decided to have the Secretary of the Committee prepare a list of UNESCO’s view on preparing reports and to distribute it among the heads of the task groups;
3. The future invitation letters sent to the Committee members for participation in the next session of the Committee must bear on Article 7 of the Committee Statutes, emphasising the need for the participation of all members in the Committee sessions for enhanced efficiency;
4. The issue of continuation or discontinuation of the participation of some members in the Committee, based on Note 2, Article 7 of the Committee Statutes, was postponed for discussion to the next session of the Committee;
5. The third item on the agenda “Cooperation with the European Union on Academic Education, Research and Innovation”, will be postponed for discussion to the next session of the Committee;
6. The next session of the Committee will be held on 28 August, 2016.
