Abbas Zera'at told a press conference that according to a statement issued by head of regional office of the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), Professor Abbas Saadatmandi, Professor Masoud Salavati-Niasari and Professor Ali-Reza Ashrafi are among the top 1% elite scientists of the world.
He said that the scientific index for selecting the elite scientists is the number of citations of their scientific works in international scientific publications.
Professor Zera'at said that the researchers who have achieved the highest international levels in accordance with the Information Science Institute (ISI) are listed in the elite world scientists' group.
Abbas Saadatmandi and Ali-Reza Ashrafi are from the Faculty of Mathematics and Masoud Salavati-Niasari from the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Kashan.
The University of Kashan with over 7,000 students and its various faculties have 300 fulltime scientific board members in some 190 scientific fields at levels of BA, MA, BS, MS and PhD.
