Top-Selling Zarif’s Biography Shines in TIBF

Released in 2013, Mr. Ambassador is a biography in the form of a collection of interviews done by Mohammad Mehdi Raji which recounts the life story of incumbent Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and is a genuine insight into Iran's political. The memoirs of Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iran's much vaunted and discussed foreign minister, offer rich insight into the personal life and political worldview of the man poised to be the Islamic Republic's most significant envoy to the world since 1979. The memoir spans much of Zarif's life, from his upbringing in a religious family to his early years serving at Iran's mission to the United Nations in New York.
Tehran-based Ney publications has recently released the sixth print-run copies of the book in the 28thTehran International Book Fair and readers still show enthusiasm for Zarif’s biography.
The book offers a complete biography of Zarif as well as his experiences and memories of representing Iran at the UN also reflecting Zarif’s political concerns and diplomatic inclinations.
Iran’s diplomacy compared to the norms in the world, interactions with foreign diplomats, the element of geopolitics and its impact on Iran’s regional power, the revolutionary interpretation of international developments, historical ties in foreign policy, and features of Iran’s relations with world are some of the topics discussed in the book.
The book is arranged in 368 pages and 1,000 of its copies are now available in the market.
Born in 1961, Mohammad Javad Zarif is an associate professor at the University of International Relations of Foreign Ministry, teaching diplomacy and international organizations in the Master’s program. He is one of the best known and experienced Iranian diplomats, and was the Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the United Nations from 2002 to 2007.
