Ayano Sasaki told the ongoing conference 'Review of Attar's Intellectual System and Works' in Isfahan University Sunday that two years ago, TUFS proposed establishment of a research project focusing on Attar's works, which was approved by the government.

Financed by the Japanese government, translation of 'Elahinameh' is being carried out in cooperation with Isfahan University , she said, adding Attar's mystical works and their rendering into other languages will also be discussed during the conference.
Persian language and literature has been offered in TUFS since 1980, she said, adding that the university admits 10 to 15 students in the course.
Sasaki also said that after translation of 'Elahinameh', other works by Attar will be rendered into Japanese language in future.
'Since Attar has a cordial and affectionate attitude towards women in Elahinameh, I decided to translate the book into Japanese,' Sasaki said.
Certain great Persian literary works such as Divan Hafez, Goelstan and Bustan (Sa'di's works) have already been translated into Japanese language, she said.
