Two Iranian universities among world top young universities

Referring to Times Higher Education World University Rankings as one of the most famous international ranking systems which announces universities ranking results annually, Mohammad Javad Dehghani said that Times has increased the number of universities from 100 to 150 for the first time in 2016.

Despite severe competition among East Asian universities to rank first, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology ranked first. The institute owns the most international students which is 54%, he said.

He added that twenty-five-year-old Nanyang Technological University of Singapore ranked first in Asia and second in the world.

He noted that Hong Kong University of Science and Technology ranked second in Asia and third in the world.

He reiterated that Sharif University of Technology ranked 100 and Isfahan University of Technology ranked in the range of 100-150.

On the number of young universities in the Middle East, Dehghani said that Turkey ranked first and Iran ranked second.

Dehghani also added that Sharif University of Technology ranked first in training and second in research field in the Middle East.

Both Iranian universities ranked first in industrial income in the Middle East.
