Ukrainian version of Holy Quran published

Scholar and historian Mikhail Yakubovich spent five years translating the holy book into Ukrainian, the Ukrainian Independent Information Agency reported on Thursday.

“Just some parts of the Holy Quran were previously translated into Ukrainian,” Yakubovich said and added that the earliest efforts date back to the 17th century.

Osnovy director Dana Pavlychko also commented about the publication.

“The Holy Quran is a part of the world’s cultural heritage and art, which should be ubiquitous in every library,” she said.
