According to IBNA correspondent, in this summit during which the current situation of the subjects on the list ‘Need of Urgent Safeguarding’ were evaluated, Iran was praised for its periodic report on Naqqali drawn up by Ferdowsi Foundation.
The art of Naqqali (Iranian dramatic story-telling) was recorded in the list of UNESCO World Heritage in the year 2011, in collaboration with the Cultural Heritage Organization, Ferdowsi Foundation, the Performing Arts Center and the Theater House. The successful implementation of preservation measures and submitting the full report by Ferdowsi Foundation was praised by UNESCO.
In the UNESCO meeting, a summary of the reports of NGOs, including the special report on the preservation of ‘the Art of Naqqali’ by Ferdowsi Foundation was presented.
