Vienna to Host 6th Round of Iran, Austria Religious Talks

In a visit to Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) in Tehran, Friedrich Stift underlined the friendly relations between Iran and Austria.
Speaking in a meeting with Ali Mohammad Helmi, head of ICRO’s Center for Dialogue among Religions and Civilizations, Stift described the last five rounds of talks as successful and expressed hope for continued religious talks between the two countries.
He further referred to the presence of Muslims in Austria and said the European country recognized Islam as an official religion over a century ago.
He noted that there are 7 Muslim lawmakers in Austria’s parliament.
Helmi, for his part, hailed the two countries’ cooperation in the field of religious dialogue.
