World’s Largest Salt cave in Qeshm, UNESCO's priority

Gheshm salt cave, recorded as the world’s largest salt cave  has been prioritorized to be  on the list of natural heritage by UNESCO, director general of the Registry of Historial Monuments, Farhad Nazari announced.
Nazari said that Gheshm salt cave, part of the chain Salt Domes, has more chance of being registered  in the world’s list of  UNESCO’s natural heritage . One of the most prominent geologist, Williams is of the opinion that the cave is to be recorded as the priority on the world’s list, he added, reports IRNA.
The Gheshm salt cave had been registered in the National Natural Heritage earlier, on the 28th of  January 2012,  the director general stated.
