World Town Planning Day Held in Tehran

The event is celebrated in 30 countries on four continents each November 8.
World Town Planning Day presents an excellent opportunity to look at planning from a global perspective. The event appeals to the conscience of citizens and public authorities in order to draw attention to the impact resulting from the development of cities and territories.
The day founded in 1949 by the late Professor Carlos Mariadella Paolera of the University of Buenos Aires to advance public and professional interest in planning.
Tehran also celebrated the day for the 12th time in Andishe Cultural Center. Iranian urban associations have celebrated the day in cooperation with ISOCARP since 2004.
The International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) is a global association of experienced professional planners. It was founded in 1965 in a bid to bring together recognized and highly-qualified planners in an international network.
