‘Running Toward Dreams’ comes true in US

Sponsored by Arkansas University, the exhibition is organized by two Iranian students Maryam Amirvaqefi and Ziba Rajabi and will run until September 25.

Dream, just like laughter and cry, is a common human experience, and can gather them from all around the world. Artists, in this collection of art pieces, have created pieces, clearly or tacitly inspired by their dreams, these dreams are sometimes private and individual, like the American artist, Eric Garner, who had a dream of losing weight in one period of his life, which is the trouble of many American people. He has produced a collection of photos with this subject in the exhibition.

On the other side, the Iranian artist, born in Iraq, Shirin Mellatgohar , who has the world peace dream and has experienced the aftereffects of disquiets of Middle East and has twin-concept with people who are in war all over the world, used these concepts to create artworks. These works of Mellatgohar is kind of a therapy, she has used her art to encounter the psychical impacts of war. Another artist, Mohammad-Ali Famori, demonstrates his digital paintings in this exhibition. He has experienced new techniques and representation in digital painting medium and eventually presents a new image of dream and imagery with symbolic look and tries to expand figurative objects in his works in order to create a maiden pronunciation to study the domination of media on the audiences' unconsciousness.
