“Although, we have had the full cooperation of the Tehran Municipality to better organize the fair during the past two editions, the location lacks a suitable infrastructure,” the spokesman of the fair, Homayun Amirzadeh, said in a press release on Saturday.
“Therefore, the organizers have had doubts about continuing to hold the fair at the Shahre Aftab,” he noted.
This relocation is actually a kind of cooperation with the Tehran Municipality to give the organization an opportunity to equip the location for future editions of the fair, he added.
The 31st Tehran International Book Fair will be held in May 2018.
