At a virtual meeting entitled “Martyr Soleimani, Necessity and How to Introduce Him in Curriculum,” Head of Organization for Educational Research and Planning (OERP), Dr. Hassan Maleki, said that Haj Qasem is an obvious example of the word “rashid” according to the Quran interpretation.
According to Public Relations and International Affairs Office at OERP, commemorating his martyrdom anniversary, he added, “To explain the title of the meeting, first certain questions ought to be raised. Questions such as what were his characteristics and what is the curriculum identity."
“He was an obvious example of a fully developed human being. The Holy Quran stresses the development of all personality dimensions of human being, a note that should be attended in our curriculum. Given this point, I believe that Haj Qasem was an example of the word 'rashid’ in Surah Hud.”
“He succeeded in educating and adjusting himself to the level of someone confirmed by Islam and the Islamic Republic,” he maintained.
“Without comprehending the diverse dimensions of Martyr Soleimani, he may not be fully presented in textbooks. Thus, it is our duty to profoundly understand the deep layers of his personality prior to inserting his name in our curriculum. The deeper the knowledge, the more accurate the items on this martyr will be.”
Saying that the curriculum is a roadmap, Dr. Maleki noted, “As soon as we knew about his martyrdom, we formed a team to raise his various dimensions. Certain steps have been taken in this regard; yet, more effective ones need to be taken.”
“I believe that Martyr Soleimani is the product of the Islamic education as well as the Islamic Republic holy system. Hence, if we want to properly introduce him, we should present the Islamic education as the ruling spirit of his entire activities,” faculty member at Allameh Tabatabaei University asserted.
“He was a perfect example of insight, knowledge, trust, servitude, endurance and kindness; characteristics that were fully evident in his behavior," he concluded.
