“We discussed with the authorities in Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs about easing the visa issuance procedure of foreign students and they cooperated,” said Dr. Samad Haj Jabbari the General Director of Foreign Students’ Affairs of Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
Haj Jabbari added that following the Foreign Ministry approval, the student visa acquiring procedure would take three to seven days which sees considerable improvement compared to the previos one month period.
Residence and the length of stay are controlled by police and have nothing to do with Ministry of Foreign Affairs according to Haj Jabbari.
The ministry has announced facilitation of higher education for foreign students among its top priorities.
