There are nearly 40,000 foreign students in universities across Iran, an official says, as the government is trying to increase the number of foreigners who are willing to study in the country.
More than 550,000 foreign students are currently studying in Iran, with 320,000 of them at an elementary level. If the density of each class is 30, then this number of students will need more than 10,000 teachers
Iran has spent $266 million on the education of foreign nationals in the country, said the head of the Education Ministry's Office for International Affairs.
