World Congress on “Science without Borders”, in the Iranian Capital, Tehran, by the Universal Scientific Education Research Network (USERN)

The President of the Universal Scientific Education Research Network (USERN), Dr Nima Rezaei, a track Iranian scholar and scientist and one of the top %1 scientists of the world, is going to organise the subject world congress in cooperation with the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO, the top %1 scientists of the world, Nobel/Abel laureates and other related entities. The Congress will emphasise the important role of multidisciplinary studies regardless of geographical borders. As such, it covers a wide range of scientific issues, which will be presented by Nobel/Able Laureates and top world scientists.

The training workshop on “Heritage in UNESCO Programmes” was organised by Communication and Information Department of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO and held at the NatCom on 16 February 2016, bringing together representatives from the media, journalists and specialists of the Iranian Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organisation, as well as interested individuals.

UNESCO organises the 2nd International Conference on “Internet and the Radicalization of Youth: Preventing, Acting and Living Together”

With the spread of radicalization and the ever more use of the internet for promoting violence, networking among violent extremists and even identifying and attracting volunteer forces from among the youth – a population of one billion and two-hundred million individuals (from 15 to 24)- which are mainly unemployed, uneducated and an unclear future awaits them, have altogether prompted the need to consider ways to prevent illegal usage of the Internet for promoting violent extremism and radicalization among youth.

Inscription of four television documentaries on the National Memory of the World Register

According to a report by Dr Farhad Etemadi, Head of the Communication and Information Department of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO, and member to the Iranian National Committee for the Memory of the World of the NatCom, at the meeting of this committee, held on Monday, 1 August 2016, the inscription of four television documentaries on the National Memory of the World Register was agreed with.
