Hamid Reza Ganguzehi, a border village school teacher in province of Sistan-o-Baluchestan in south-east of Iran, offered up his life to save his students lives. He, together with his colleague Abdorra'uf Shahnavazi who was injured, tried to quickly withdraw three students playing near a wall on the brink of collapse. They managed to salvage the schoolboys but were unfortunately trapped under debris themselves.

Aliasqar Fani, minister of education had a new-year meeting with the staff of the ministerial department at the main building of ministry of education.
