"Exciting Classroom" Learning Package Unveiled in Presence of the President

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Office of the Educational Research and Planning Organization, the "Exciting Classroom" learning package was officially unveiled at the closing ceremony of the National Festival for Improving Teaching Methods and Transforming Learning Environments. The ceremony was attended by President Masoud Pezeshkian, the Minister of Education, Alireza Kazemi, the Head of the Educational Research and Planning Organization, Ali Latifi, and other members of the Ministry of Education's council of deputies.

A Project for Teacher Empowerment, Teaching Innovation, and Modern Technology

The Head of the Educational Research and Planning Organization stated: "The 'Exciting Classroom' project, managed by this organization with the goal of creating fundamental transformation in schools, commenced in February 2025 and continued until August 2025." He added: "This initiative was designed to empower teachers, innovate teaching methods, and leverage modern technologies. Consequently, the initial draft was developed in collaboration with the Elementary and Secondary Education deputies at the ministry. Following specialized meetings with the Supreme Council of Education and receiving feedback from education experts, the final version was prepared for implementation."

Referring to the package's development process, Latifi said: "Through a national call, universities and selected provinces were engaged, and necessary coordination for recruiting educational and research personnel was made. Daily filming of classes, production of studio content and classroom scenarios, along with the use of technologies like VR360 films for virtual trips, were among the innovative stages of this project."

Production of Three Key Packages

Ali Latifi stated: "Special narrative research for secondary school teachers and educational packages for elementary school teachers were prepared. The project was launched in the city of Mashhad with a capacity-building course for selected teachers, and three key packages were introduced: 'Positive Learning Environment,' 'Successful Teaching Methods,' and 'Application of Technology in Education.'"

The Deputy Minister of Education noted: "The produced content includes 16 main topics and 45 specialized subtopics, comprising 49 core files and 115 supplementary files. The studio content duration is 621 minutes in a condensed version and 1,001 minutes in a detailed version, while the in-class footage is 88 minutes (condensed) and 359 minutes (detailed)."

Package Details:

  • Positive Learning Environment Package: Includes 6 main topics and 17 specialized subtopics, containing 22 core files and 42 supplementary files. It covers subjects such as pedagogical support, developmental evaluation, instructional design, educational research, and teacher personal growth.

  • Successful Teaching Methods Package: Includes 7 main topics and 11 specialized subtopics, containing 10 core files and 15 supplementary files. It addresses methods like brainstorming, problem-based learning, play and learning, role-playing, group discussions, project-based learning, and field trips.

  • Application of Technology in Education Package: Includes 3 main topics and 17 specialized subtopics, containing 17 core files and 58 supplementary files. It focuses on topics such as the definition and applications of Artificial Intelligence in education, flipped learning, and enriching the learning environment with technology.

Use of Educational Narrative Research Alongside Classroom Demonstrations

The member of the Supreme Council of Education highlighted the project's innovations: "Among the most important innovations of the project are the use of educational narrative research alongside classroom implementation demonstrations, the utilization of documentary films, infographics, and concept maps, the employment of VR360 technology to create a more immersive educational experience, and providing the complete content on portable storage for easy teacher access."

Production of Over 2,400 Minutes of Multimedia Educational Content

Ali Latifi concluded: "The 'Exciting Classroom' project, with the production of over 2,400 minutes of multimedia educational content across its three main axes, provides a novel model for teacher empowerment. By combining pedagogical innovations and educational technologies, it lays the groundwork for the transformation of the teaching-learning process and the realization of an exciting school within the Iranian education system."
