Eight Schools to Host Pilot Implementation of School-Based Curriculum
The Head of the Educational Research and Planning Organization announced that eight schools from districts 2 and 16, as well as the cities of Rey and Ghods, will host the pilot implementation of the school-based curriculum.
In an interview with ISNA news agency on the sidelines of the unveiling ceremony of the "Exciting Classroom" learning package attended by the President, Ali Latifi stated: "According to the latest statistics, textbooks for 6 million students are currently in schools, and the situation regarding textbook registration is better compared to previous years."
He added: "The statistics for textbook orders is a function of student registration statistics. The ordering system remains active."
The Head of the Educational Research and Planning Organization emphasized: "We only faced issues with registration for the 7th and 10th grades. First-grade registration has been satisfactory." He stated: "For the school-based curriculum scheme, training courses are being held for the schools implementing the pilot program."
The member of the Council of Deputies of the Ministry of Education, referring to the details of the pilot implementation, said: "Eight schools from districts 2 and 16, Rey city, and Ghods city are hosting the pilot implementation."
Emphasizing the fundamental role of the school, he clarified: "However, the main issue and important axis of transformation in this plan is the school itself. In this phase, the first-grade elementary education and learning packages will be used in the pilot implementation."
Latifi emphasized: "In this pilot implementation, more important than the textbook is that we are providing the school with a framework as a curriculum guide, which can integrate all school-level activities." During the interview, he stated: "Various ministry deputies have played roles in designing and developing this plan, and efforts have been made to consider all responsibilities."
Production of Over 2,400 Minutes of Multimedia Educational Content Across Three Main Axes
The Head of the Educational Research and Planning Organization said: "The 'Exciting Classroom' project, by producing over 2,400 minutes of multimedia educational content across its three main axes, provides a novel model for teacher empowerment. By combining pedagogical innovations and educational technologies, it creates the groundwork for transforming the teaching-learning process and realizing an exciting school within the Iranian educational system."
