Transformation in Skills Education; An Artificial Intelligence Textbook Developed for All New Disciplines in the Technical and Vocational Branch

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Office of the Educational Research and Planning Organization, Hassan Aghababaei, the Director General of the Office for Planning and Compilation of Technical-Vocational and Technical Branch Textbooks at the Educational Research and Planning Organization, discussed developments in the technical-vocational and technical branches in an interview with Tehran Radio.

Hassan Aghababaei stated that the main goal of these fields is to train skilled labor for the job market and emphasized that curricula must be revised in accordance with changes in the market, technology, and professional needs.

Hassan Aghababaei, referring to labor market developments, clarified: "In response to the need for transformation and revision of educational programs and textbooks, with the participation of professional experts, major employers, scientific-professional associations, service and goods providers, as well as instructors, trainers, and graduates, the curricula were evaluated."

He further stated: "The outcome of this review was the writing of 15 new textbook volumes for the 10th grade, as well as comprehensive revisions made to 55 textbooks, which pertained to 28 out of 40 technical-vocational disciplines. Additionally, the compilation of 3 new textbook titles for the 11th grade and the creation of 17 new disciplines in the Technical branch are among other achievements of this review."

The member of the Managers Council of the Educational Research and Planning Organization concluded by saying: "Furthermore, an Artificial Intelligence textbook has been designed and compiled for all new disciplines in the Technical branch."
