Scientific Jihad on the Path of National Sovereignty; Nuclear Martyrs in Textbooks

Nuclear energy and nuclear technology, as a symbol of scientific progress and national self-sufficiency, have been purposefully included in elementary and secondary school textbooks, along with the memory and names of nuclear martyrs.

According to the Educational Research and Planning Organization, nuclear energy and nuclear technology, as one of Iran's important scientific and industrial achievements, have found a special place in the country's students' textbooks. Studies show that concepts related to nuclear technology have been reflected in the form of lessons, images, research activities, and discussion topics at different levels of education in the process of localizing this knowledge.

Nuclear martyrs in elementary school textbooks

In the sixth grade Quran education book, pictures of martyrs Mustafa Ahmadi-Roshen and Mohsen Fakhrizadeh are included as nuclear martyrs, and students are asked to research their lives. Also, in the sixth grade social studies book, there are chapters titled "Nuclear Energy" and related educational worksheets that familiarize students with the importance of this clean energy and its role in the sustainable development of the country.

Promoting culture of sacrifice and resistance in the curriculum

The fifth-grade elementary school book "Messages from the Sky" refers to the status of nuclear martyrs, and the ninth-grade high school book "Defense Preparation" deals with the assassination of the country's nuclear scientists and the Iranian nation's persistence on the path of scientific progress in the subject of "Enemies of the Islamic Revolution."

Strengthening scientific self-confidence in adolescents

The books "Thinking and Lifestyle" for the eighth grade and "Messages from the Sky" for the seventh and ninth grades introduce students to the importance of scientific self-confidence, collective effort, and the sacrifice of scientists on the path to the country's scientific independence by discussing topics such as "Research and Investigation" and "Iran's Scientific Achievements after the Islamic Revolution."

Reflection of scientific authority in specialized courses of secondary school

In the second year of secondary school, the chemistry, physics, sociology, economics, and religion and life books, in addition to addressing scientific topics in this field, also focus on the topic of "nuclear science and technology" and introduce martyrs such as martyr Tehrani Moghadam, showing the role of these scientists in national authority and Iran's achievement of indigenous nuclear knowledge.

Scientific Jihad, the Path to Dignity and Independence

The Educational Research and Planning Organization has emphasized that including topics related to nuclear energy and nuclear martyrs in textbooks is done to strengthen the spirit of scientific jihad, self-reliance, national pride, and the continuation of the culture of sacrifice among students. The organization's goal is for students to know that the country's security, progress, and independence are the result of the efforts of its scientists.
