Iran, Azerbaijan Keen to Enhance Media Cooperation

A high-ranking delegation from the Republic of Azerbaijan, including APA tv channel, Report, Trend and Novosti-Azerbaijan news agencies are in Tehran to know more about the country's economic and cultural potentials as well as tourism attractions.
The delegation is to visit tourism attractions in the Northern Mazandaran and Golestan provinces and prepare reports about the places.
In December, Head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) Abuzar Ebrahimi announced that Tehran and Baku agreed to broaden their mutual cooperation, especially in cultural fields.
"I discussed expansion of cultural ties by Iran and Azerbaijan during my recent visit to Baku," Ebrahimi said, addressing a press conference in Baku at the time.
Tehran has in recent years focused seriously on development of ties with neighboring countries, including Republic of Azerbaijan which enjoys various commonalties with Iran in religious, historical and cultural fields.
