Rouhani Voluntarily Joins IRCS

During a ceremony held to unveil honorary membership card in Red Crescent Society, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani became a volunteer member to the organization.
The ceremony was held at the ‘Kind Human, Peaceful World’ conference on Saturday in Tehran.
Held one day after the World Red Cross Red Crescent Day, ‘Kind Human, Peaceful World’ conference was organized for the first time in Iran to honor and celebrate the efforts made by the Iranian Red Crescent Society in the war-torn regions and countries.
Held on 8 May, the birthday of Henry Dunant, the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day is an annual celebration of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Each year, Red Cross and Red Crescent societies organize activities within local communities to highlight the role of the movement in their respective countries.
